What areas do you cover and would you be willing to travel?

We are more than happy to travel worldwide to capture that special wedding day! We are based in Leicester in the Midlands, UK.

How do we make a wedding photography booking?

Call us, send us an email or fill in the enquiry form. We are happy to arrange a meeting with you to discuss your plans and show you our portfolio.

What are the payments options?

Payments can be made by debit or credit card. To book our photographic services for your wedding day we only ask for £100.00 deposit from you. Then we ask for the balance in two equal payments. First installment is due 180 days before your wedding day and the final installment is due 60 days before your wedding day.

Does Arc Photography have insurance?

Yes we have very comprehensive insurance both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance. This also covers all our equipment. You can request to see confirmation of this at anytime.

What happens if we reschedule or want to cancel the date of our wedding?

We have a very simple and fair system in place. If rescheduling is necessary your payment can be transferred to your new selected date and we only charge £100 for this service, as long as you rebook within one calendar year from the original wedding date and Arc Photography is available on the rescheduled date.

On the very rare occasion that you might have to cancel your confirmed wedding day after a booking, unfortunately no refund will be offered for payments that are made in line with the Arc Photography payment schedule. Any expenses associated to your original or rescheduled wedding dates that have been booked, paid or to be paid for are non-refundable. Expenses will need paying in full if not already done so plus any expense due to cancelation fees incurred.

What if we are ill?

The million dollar question! We have been working for 30 years, and we have never once phoned in sick. It is unthinkable. In truth we would have to be admitted into hospital for us not to turn up to your wedding, or be dead!!!

Do you have backup equipment?

We attend every wedding with a minimum of two cameras and lots of backup accessories.

How long is your photography coverage?

I believe this special day needs our full attention, so from bridal and groom prep to the ceremony speeches, and that special first dance.

What if I want a particular picture taken?

Every effort will be made to take requested pictures.

Who owns the copyright to the wedding photographs?

We are more than happy for you to share the images via e-mail and social media to your guests, friends and family. We happily give you the permission to personally print away photographs directly from the USB stick as you wish, but under UK law, specifically the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, it is the photographer who will own copyright on any photos he/she has taken. Arc Photography will always retain the copyright, which means you cannot sell them on to third parties.

How will you dress?

We will be smartly dressed in suits for this formal occasion.

What happens if it rains on the wedding day?

Not a problem – we have photographed lots of wedding where it has rained. We have ten white umbrellas and two pairs of wellies for the Bride (Long pink hunter wellies or short cute cream Mellissa wellies) so we can still have fun shots outside. During the summer months it is usually just a shower so we can switch things around on the day and do the outside photographs later in the day. We all need to be flexible on the day. With prolonged heavy rain we can always find somewhere inside, whether that be to pop back inside the church (the pews make great places for the group shots) or inside your reception venue – it will all be decorated beautifully so there are lots of options.

Will you arrange the formal and group shots at the wedding?

Yes of course we are more than happy to arrange any formal or group photographs that you’d like. This is a teamwork exercise and not a time to be camera shy. (Some people are camera shy so it is a good idea to do your homework before the day). We like to make them relaxed, and fun. A pre-arranged list drawn up by the Bride and Groom is essential. It’s also well advised to limit the group shots to a maximum of 15 minutes.

It is good practice to ask that one or two guests be designated as ‘Photo Monitors’ to help gather the guests together. It’s always a good idea to let guests know beforehand if they are to feature in which group shot to eliminate any misunderstandings.

A list of all the group photos requested copied out for us and the Photo Monitors is an excellent way to work through this part of the day.

Do my photos have to be in colour?

We photograph in colour and then present a lovely mixture of images in colour, black white and sepia. We go with what each picture looks best as and how the style suits your day. However if you prefer all colour or all black & white we can accommodate your preference.

Travel expenses?

Travelling costs are included in the wedding package price for up to 50 miles from LE2. For further destination weddings we ask that after the first 50 miles you pay 50p per mile and if needed accommodation too. For international weddings the full cost of flights, transfers and any accommodation as appropriately needed.

What is your wedding photography style?

We love photographing weddings, capturing those moments on camera in a traditional, contemporary and fun style. We like to include a good mixture of photography styles with couples portraits, group shots and all the details ~ all together giving the best view of your day. These special days are created by you and photographed by us and together we can make memories that will last for a lifetime from all the moments in time.

What is included in the wedding photography package?

Our one simple package includes a wedding album, an A3 framed picture of your choice from the day and a USB stick of high resolution photographs of your day. We can also visit the venue with a mini shoot to get you used to having your photo taken – like a mini engagement shoot this package is then available for £350. (Plus any travel expense). Again, this will include the photos on a USB stick that you could use for example on your invite, or your thank-you cards as an example.

What albums/books do you have available?

We have lots to choose from. We have a lovely selection of albums, in a superb range of colours and styles with soft leathers and plush suedes. The books are available in hardback or soft bound with picture wraps. The main album is included in the package. Parent album / books are optional and available as an extra to my package.

How many wedding photographs would I receive on the USB?

We do happily snap away throughout the day and for a full day you can expect approximately between 300-600 photographs on the USB, all high-res and fully edited.

How long will it be before we get to see the photos?

A USB stick with your wedding day Photos on will be in the post to you within 7 days of the wedding.

Will we get to meet you before the wedding day?

Yes, we like to meet up at least twice before your wedding day, once for you to talk through your day and your options. Then again after your booking we like to catch up usually 3-4 weeks before the big day this is to confirm the big day timetable, the guest list and chat about all the photographic opportunities.
